PARTS & REPAIR
Our Parts Department can order any marine part available. We can ship it to your door or install it ourselves. We offer wholesale prices on all parts that we install for our customers.
STORAGE & HAULING
We have inside and outdoor storage. We store floats as well as boats. We will take care of complete winterization and commissioning including shrink wrap, winterizing engines, generators, plumbing and battery storage. Ask about special rates for commercial boat owners.
MOORINGS
Long Point Marine is authorized by the Town of Duxbury’s Harbormaster Department to service moorings on Duxbury Bay. We inspect our moorings every season with the help of Azalea, which is rigged to haul any size mooring. Caring owners entrust Long Point Marine to keep their boats safe in the harbor.
OUR HISTORY
In 1967, the current owner of Long Point Marine Dwight Smith took control over the boat yard formerly known as Duxbury Boat Yard. The old Duxbury Boat Yard built boats including Ted Kennedy’s Concordia Schooner Mya. Since
then, our company has repaired and maintained some of the finest power and sailboats in New England.
Our logo is a drawing of our work boat, Azalea. The historic boat still launches and inspects all of our moorings. She started out with the Light House Service in 1937. In 1939 the Coast Guard took over the Light House Service and Azalea became a buoy tender. She is still doing similar tasks today. Visit us in Duxbury Harbor to witness a piece of history in action.

For over 50 years, Dwight has run and operated our very successful boat yard. A lifelong boater himself, Dwight works with our team to ensure they provide outstanding service to our customers. Being Dwight’s son, Judd has basically grown up at Long Point learning just about every aspect of the business. Today he is Long Point’s Vice President and Store Manager.

Steve’s career began at Long Point over 30 years ago. Now, he oversees our crew of factory trained professionals and assists them in maintaining, upgrading, or repowering your vessel.

Rich is always here to haul or launch your vessel. His 30+ years of experience in bottom painting, mast stepping, varnishing, and float building make him a favorite of our customers.

Brian has been heading up our Mooring and Float Division for over 9 years. He oversees all aspects of mooring maintenance, placement, and chain replacement, and works closely with Duxbury’s Harbormaster in servicing all anchorages in Duxbury Bay.

Keeping your boat running at its best should not be complicated and there should be no guesswork. Steve’s extensive training and many certifications have made him our “go to” mechanic on all engines, foreign and domestic, for over 25 years.
